 2012 new volunteer orientation dates are set!  Saturday April 21st, 12 noon at Shoreline Amphitheatre Mt. View and Saturday April 28th, 12 noon at Sleep Train Amphitheatre Marysville.  Bring a photocopy of your certification-CPR etc.  All paperwork will be provided, allow 3 hours for presentation and venue tour.  Hope to see you there!     Wes

More than 1000 volunteers giving their time to staff more than 650 events annually, making their services and talents available to more than 2,000,000 concert goers each year!

This statement is what drives the members of Rock Medicine. A non-judgmental, unbiased approach to patients and a deep knowledge of medicine is what makes this organization so special. It takes a certain kind of person to volunteer with Rock Med. It takes a person who is willing to deal with vomit and belligerent patients, yet keeping a sense of humor and a smile the entire time (and come back again and again for more!).

The philosophy of Rock Med and its participants is simple:  "Take care of the individual right now and return him to his friends or his family and do away with the necessity of either hospitalizing him or getting him involved with the law."

"Hello! You may not remember me but I will never forget what Rock Medicine did for me. In October I had a horrible mushroom trip at a show. You were there for me the entire time, right by my side. I am happy to say my experimentation with hard drugs is over; I now know my limits. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
